9.00am – Our guide meets you by the ship.
9.00 -10.00am – Visit of the farmers’ market and a metro ride.
10.00am – 12.00pm – City tour of St. Petersburg. Within the City Tour will see such places as Point of the Basil Island, Palace Square with famous Winter Palace, Academy of Fine Arts, Arts Square, Catherine’s Garden, St. Isaac’s Square, Bronze Horseman. At the most beautiful places the guide will supply you with more information and will offer you to make a stop for taking photos. You will also visit one or two of functioning churches of St. Petersburg (e.g. Kazan Cathedral and Naval (St. Nicolas) Cathedral). A drive along the main street of our city – Nevskiy Prospekt.
12.00 – 12.30pm – The coffee break at the Soviet little café, called “Pyshechnayay” with hot coffee and very delicious buns called “pyshki” is included.
12.30 – 1.30pm – A visit of St. Petersburg courtyards and a famous Eliseev shop to admire its illumination and a variety of food it offers.
1.30 – 2.15pm – Church on the Spilt Blood inside tour. Church on the Spilt Blood was created in the best traditions of Russian art of the 14th – 17th centuries and stands out among all St. Petersburg churches by its distinct national appearance. It was made in 1883-1907 on the spot where on March 1st, 1881, the terrorist mortally wounded Alexander II.
3.00 – 5.00pm – Dinner in a Russian Family for small groups up to 7 people/Dinner in a Russian Restaurant for big groups from 8 people. It is a nice opportunity to meet local family, to see where and how the family lives and also to try Russian traditional food. During the meal you can find out about people’s life and compare it to yours.
6.00pm – You are back at your ship.
