Today we are going to tell you a few words about Nizhniy Novgorod or “Nizhniy” as it is shortly called by locals. The territory of the region is about 80, 500 square kilometers. The capital of it was founded in 1221, thus it is clearly one of the oldest Russian cities. It is located a bit more than 400 km from Moscow, and it takes 4 hours to get there by express train.
