If you arrive in Saint-Petersburg by cruise your tour here is a non-visa one for cruise ship passengers. According to the Russian Federation law visas are not required for shore excursions if you book through companies that are officially licensed and authorized by the Russian government to receive foreign cruise passengers and to operate inside St. Petersburg port areas. The ship employees can not hold the passengers aboard against their will if they have proper documents. All foreign tourists will be allowed to leave the ship if they have the following documents – the passport and the blanket visa.
Of course, we will supply our guests with blanket visas that they will show at the customs when leaving their ship. They will get them from us via e-mail and print them out.
Our tourists have never been late for their ships. All the tours are thoroughly planned beforehand and we include extra time for all the possible delays, such as traffic jams, museum lines and others. Sometimes it happens when a museum or some sight that was meant to be in your tour is closed at the last moment without any warning for us from the city or the sight authorities. It happens seldom and we realize it causes inconvenience and disappointment for our tourists. We promise to reverse the itinerary or substitute another sight in such a case. If a hydrofoil ride has to be cancelled because of the very bad weather you will go to/from Peterhof by our car/mini-bus.
If you are coming to Saint-Petersburg by cruise, booking a tour is compulsory as you are arriving without touristic visas that are quite expensive and not easy to get. The tour company you are booking the shore excursion with will supply you with blanket visas that will allow you to leave the ship and to see the city. According to our laws all the tourists with blanket visas have to be escorted everywhere by the guide and the driver.
If you come to our city with tourist visas and stay at the hotel or in the rented flat, booking the tour with a local tour company is not obligatory but will help you a lot. Our city is very diverse and there are so many places worth visiting. Professionals will help you to arrange the tour properly and to avoid crowds and lines in the main museums.

Gratuity is not included into the tour price. We suggest a 10% gratuity to your guide and 5% to your driver if you are satisfied with the quality of their work. It is a good idea to divide the gratuity between your guide and driver and give it separately to them (rubles, USD, Euros are acceptable). Still the decision about the tips is yours.
Tours at our website are offered as samples of what you could visit and see here. If you have other wishes and preferences we will be happy to adjust any tour to them. Please remember we are flexible and open to your ideas and suggestions.
Usually the cost of food is not included.
Within the tour you will be given the opportunity to visit souvenir shops as many times as you need. In souvenir shops they are ready to receive your cards or cash (rubles, USD, Euros).
In shops or for your lunches you may pay by card or in cash (rubles only). If you are going to use your card in Russia it is better to warn your bank about it beforehand. Otherwise, it can be blocked because of the transaction in Russia as the bank cares about your money security. In case your card does not work here, the guide will have some money in rubles to pay for your lunch and then you are supposed to restore it in USD or Euros.
For the Russian Immigration Inspector it makes no difference if you are a member of the ship’s group tour or if your tour is arranged by the local tour company. This way if you have the passport and the blanket visa you may leave the ship.
